barrels retrofits for
powder coating compounders
One piece backing blocks provide a ridged and robust barrel construction that carries the insert style liners, future replacement liners offer up to 50% savings over current types and can be easily fitted on site by the customer. Liners are available in a combination of high wear resistant tool steel or HIP powder metallurgy as standard.
Alloy bronze slab heaters offer improved heat distribution and reliability whilst design improvements in the water channels have enhanced the efficiency and reliability of the barrel cooling system. Fewer barrel bolts and a split discharge arrangement have improved barrel opening & closing times so reducing down time and an optional split stuffing box gives quick access to shafts during removal or re-fitting. Oil soaked, split bushes in the split stuffing box means no more leaking gland packing to replace and it can be retrofitted to any Baker Perkins, APV, B&P and W&P extruder at customer site or at Xtrutech’s fully equipped refurbishment facility in Stoke on Trent, UK.
